Life where there should be none
I remember the Mount St. Helens eruption. This massive volcanic event changed a pristine forest into a barren wasteland that looked almost like the surface of the moon. Trees were violently uprooted, and the landscape was covered in ash. A short while after the eruption I saw a picture of a small green plant growing out of a crack in the side of a rock. The Lord used this image to speak to my heart and assure me that God brings forth life where there should be none.
I found this to be true in my own life. When I committed to following Jesus I experienced a dramatic change. The fire of God’s love began to grow inside me. Out of the ash covered wasteland of my self absorbed existence Jesus brought forth new life. I began to care for the people around me and have concern for the hungry, hurting and oppressed around the world. I invite you to join us as we explore the life changing love of Jesus that has the power to bring forth life.
